GAFA REPRESENTS SAMOA

In 2016 The GAFA arts Collective London was granted the honor of representing Samoa at the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts (FOPA). It was the first time in the Samoas history of participation that foreigners were allowed to be part of their delegation. The vision, tenacity and dedication of Siliga Sani Muliaumaseali’i made this a reality. Special acknowledgment to former Prime minister of Samoa, Susuga Tuilaʻepa Lupesoliai Neioti Aiono Saʻilele Malielegaoi and delegation leader Papali'i Peone Fuiamono.

The 12th Festival of Pacific Arts (FOPA)

The Festival of the Pacific Arts

is held every four years since 1972, and brings together artists and cultural practitioners from around the Pacific region for two weeks of festivity. It is recognized as a major regional cultural event, and is the largest gathering in which Pacific peoples unite to enhance their respect and appreciation of one another.
